·Beijing: Last year, the old car elimination subsidy was 1.58 billion yuan

The reporter learned from the Municipal Environmental Exchange that in 2017, the city's old motor vehicle elimination and renewal transaction processing platform accepted and reviewed 150,000 old motor vehicle subsidy applications, real-time subsidies of 1.58 billion yuan, and new vehicle certificates cashed over 7,000.

In order to reduce the total amount of pollutants emitted by motor vehicles and improve the quality of the air environment in the capital, in August 2011, the city launched the elimination of old motor vehicles. According to the 2017 National I Country II Motor Vehicle Elimination Update Program, the implementation of scrapping before June 30, 2017 will be subsidized up to 10,000 yuan and 12,000 yuan respectively. In the period from July 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017, the subsidies will be up to 8,000 yuan and 10,000 yuan respectively.

As of the end of last year, the city has issued over 1.80 million subsidies for the elimination of old motor vehicles through the platform, and the total emission reduction of various pollutants exceeds 600,000 tons.
