From November 28 to 30, the 2011 national carbonate technology development and application seminar was held in Zhengzhou. The meeting focused on the discussion of how the carbonate companies can continue to innovate in the era of meager profits, and strengthen the integration of production, education and research, open up new markets, and achieve new developments.
This conference is the eighth national carbonate conference. It was held under the circumstances that the global economy was not booming and China's carbonate industry faced many uncertainties. It was highly concerned by the industry and the number of participants and the number of participants was the highest ever.
The meeting pointed out that in recent years, China's dimethyl carbonate industry has developed rapidly and its scale has continued to expand. Products can not only meet domestic demand, but also export a lot. However, at the same time as the rapid expansion of production capacity, there have also been many problems such as poor industrial planning, restriction of upstream raw materials, lagging behind of downstream product technology development in market application, dislocation of research institutes and enterprises, and so on. The industry and market are under tremendous pressure. At present, only half of the enterprises in China are in normal production, and the rest are in disconnected or parked vehicles.
Participants proposed 5 measures to respond to the current status of the industry. First, companies that are advised to prepare to start or plan a new dimethyl carbonate project must make it clear whether they have the advantages of scientific research, raw materials, and markets, whether they are suitable for their own industrial chain, can not blindly follow the trend, and increase the pressure of overcapacity; Second, projects that have already been launched must be optimized, using advanced technologies, and strengthening independent innovation to do a good job of saving energy and recycling economy articles; third is to further study and expand the application of dimethyl carbonate, to expand the market cake; Fourthly, on the basis of the connection between the enterprise and the scientific research institute, strengthen the integration and cooperation to further regulate the domestic market. Fifth, it is recommended that the industry alliance take the lead to formulate dimethyl carbonate industry standards and promote industry self-regulation.
The meeting invited authoritative experts in the field of carbonates to make technical research reports, and discussed with manufacturers on the optimization of dimethyl carbonate production process, open up new markets, product development trends and other issues.
The conference was co-sponsored by China Chemical News and the National Carbonate Industry Alliance and co-organized by Shandong Shida Shenghua Chemical Group, Chengdu Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tongling Jintai Chemical Industry Company, and Panjin Liaohe Oilfield Dili Group.
