Recently, in the laboratory of Yuchai Technology Center, with Yuchai Chairman Wang Jianming pressing the YC4W diesel engine prototype button, the prototype slowly started after ignition, and the audience suddenly sounded enthusiastic applause. The successful start of the prototype ignition indicates that Yuchai Diesel has made new breakthroughs in production. The first domestic 4W diesel engine was officially launched in Yuchai.
4W diesel engine is an all-aluminum structure lightweight engine that is jointly developed by Yuchai and FEV. It is equipped with a four-valve, double-overhead camshaft structure and applies an electronically controlled high pressure common rail. Exhaust gas recirculation, variable area turbocharged and other modern advanced engine technologies. It is understood that the 4W diesel engine is an environmentally friendly product that is emitted from a higher starting point and has not yet been independently developed in China. The successful development of Yuchai will end the history of China’s dependence on imports of 4W diesel engines.
