In the fourth quarter of last year, Dana’s net sales reached US$1.61 billion, a year-on-year decline of 16%. Fourth-quarter net profit reached US$93 million, an increase of 24% from US$75 million in the fourth quarter of 2011.
Among all business units, Dana light vehicle powertrain sales fell 8.5% year-on-year to US$620 million; power technology business sales fell 4% to US$240 million; commercial vehicle sales fell 26.2% year-on-year. To 425 million US dollars; non-road vehicle parts sales fell 17% year-on-year to 320 million US dollars.
Dana’s total net sales in 2012 reached US$7.22 billion, a 4.2% decrease from the US$7.44 billion in 2011. The total net profit for the year totaled US$315 million, a surge of 35.8% from US$232 million in 2011.
