According to foreign media reports, BYD recently delivered 27 of the first heavy-duty tractors produced in the United States to Daylight Transportation Inc. of Fontana, California. Of the 27 vehicles delivered, 23 were classified into 8 (with a total mass of 15 tons or more) and four 5 (with a total mass of 7.3 to 8.8 tons) tractors.
BYD has now partnered with the California Air Resources Board, the San Bernardino Government Committee and Daylight Transport to deliver 27 zero-emission electric trucks to areas with poor air quality in the United States. Last year, the San Bernardino Regional Government Association of California received a $9.1 million grant award from the California Climate Initiative of the California Air Resources Commission. The orders were dropped on BYD. 27 BYD battery-powered pure electric trucks will be put on air quality. In poorer areas, these areas include San Bernardino and counties of Los Angeles. The 23 tier 8 trucks delivered this time are equipped with 209 kWh battery packs and can charge up to 15 hours with a GCWR capacity of 102,000 lbs. This batch of pure electric trucks will replace the existing diesel medium trucks and will be used to transport goods in and out of dock warehouses. The total value of this order is about 19,200,000 US dollars.
It is reported that these trucks are commonly used heavy trucks and are mainly used to transport goods. Traditional trucks use diesel engines and are common in ports, railway stations, warehouses and other areas. The traditional service trucks are mid-range trucks, mostly diesel-powered. BYD's electric drive is completely zero-emission vehicles, which is conducive to public health and climate change.
BYD's pure electric trucks sell for $300,000 each and are much more expensive than regular fuel trucks. However, due to the installation of a solar power system at the terminal, the replacement of pure electric trucks can save up to $25,000 in fuel and maintenance costs per year.
The first four trucks will be serviced by the Daylight Transport Company in Fontana while the other 23 are scheduled to serve at two railway stations in San Bernardino and in parts of Los Angeles.
BYD is currently implementing an expansion plan for its American assembly plant in Lancaster to meet the sales demand for electric buses and trucks of all sizes. In addition, BYD currently sells electric forklifts in the United States market.
Tungsten Alloy Blank rods are cylindrical bars made from tungsten alloys. These rods are used in a variety of applications such as aerospace, defense, medical, and sports equipment. Tungsten alloy blank rods are known for their high strength, durability, and resistance to wear and corrosion. They are also non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Tungsten alloy blank rods can be machined, welded, and formed into different shapes and sizes to meet specific requirements. They are often used as weights, counterbalances, and radiation shielding materials.
