The study pointed out that the HPLC method is simple, accurate, and reproducible, and is suitable for the quality control of health foods containing puerarin, daidzin, daidzein and genistein.
Phenomenex Luna C18 column (250mm×4.60mm, 5μm) was used. Methanol-0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) aqueous solution was used as mobile phase gradient. The flow rate was 1.0ml/min. The detection wavelength was 250nm.
When the mass concentrations of puerarin, daidzein, daidzein and genistein were in the range of 0.1 μg/ml to 100 μg/ml, there was a good linear relationship with the peak area. The recovery of the method was between 90% and 107%.
