In September, China's automobile production and sales entered the traditional peak season. According to data from the China Automobile Association, the production and sales of automobiles in the month exceeded 2.6 million units, which was the highest level in the first nine months of this year, and maintained an increase over the previous month and the same period of last year. In the same month, the production and sales of automobiles reached 2.687 million and 2.909 million vehicles, respectively. Production and sales volume increased by 27.6% and 23.9% respectively from the previous month, showing a relatively rapid growth trend; they increased by 5.5% and 5.7% respectively from the same period of the previous year.

From January to September, automobile production and sales completed 20.493 million vehicles and 20.225 million vehicles respectively, an increase of 4.8% and 4.5% respectively from the same period of last year, which was lower than the previous year's corresponding period of 8.5 and 8.7 percentage points. The accumulative growth rate of production rose by 0.1 percentage points from January to August, and the accumulative growth rate of sales increased by 0.2 percentage points from January to August.

In September, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were completed at 374,000 units and 367,000 units respectively, up by 23.3% and 17.9% respectively from the previous month, 25% and 23.9% respectively over the same period of last year, and the production and sales volume maintained a relatively rapid growth.

It is worth mentioning that apart from the year-on-year rapid growth in the number of trucks, the production and sales of passenger cars also saw a significant year-on-year growth. Continued faster growth of trucks performed better than last month
