The Shanghai Municipal Government issued yesterday the "Interim Measures for the Promotion of the Purchase and Use of New Energy Vehicles in Shanghai", and the subsidy for the purchase of commercial vehicles for fuel cells is up to 500,000 yuan per vehicle. This is also the second support policy for local-level new energy vehicles that will include fuel cell vehicles in the subsidy scope after Beijing.
The new approach shows that the subsidy for pure electric passenger cars is 40,000 yuan/vehicle, and the subsidy for plug-in hybrid passenger cars (including extensions) is 30,000 yuan/vehicle. The subsidy intensity is the same as the old one. . For fuel cell vehicles, the new approach provides that the subsidy standards for fuel cell passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles are as high as 200,000 yuan per vehicle and 500,000 yuan per vehicle respectively.
The new approach also stipulates that Shanghai Municipality will grant a financial subsidy of 2,000 yuan/car to a legal entity that directly or organizationally purchases more than 10 new energy vehicles at one time. For auto manufacturers, each set of new energy vehicle power battery is recovered, and Shanghai gives a subsidy of 1,000 yuan, which is a significant increase from 300 yuan for the old method. In addition, the free license policy for new energy vehicles has also continued.
Auto analyst Zhong Shi said in an interview with the Securities Times that due to the fact that the definition of fuel cell vehicles in the market in the past few years has not been clearly defined, it is usually classified outside the scope of new energy vehicles. However, in recent years, with the large-scale car companies at home and abroad, including GM and SAIC, all of them have included fuel cell vehicles in their development plans, fuel cell vehicles have been regarded as new environmentally friendly models.
At the Beijing International Auto Show in April this year, SAIC Motor Corporation recently released the Roewe 950 new plug-in fuel cell sedans and plans to achieve small batch production in 2015. At the same time, Honda plans to launch a fuel cell car with a range of about 500 kilometers in 2015. Its sales target is to sell 5,000 vehicles in five years. Korea Hyundai also launches a new fuel cell model and has mass production plans. Mercedes-Benz Motors plans to launch a new hydrogen fuel cell vehicle in 2017.
A fuel cell vehicle has a 400 km mileage and requires only 50 kilowatts of fuel cell stacks. About 5 kilograms of hydrogen can be added. The same pure electric car runs 400 kilometers. The required lithium battery weighs about 70 kilograms. . At the same time, fuel cells can also solve the problem of long charging time for pure electric vehicles.
However, the disadvantages of fuel cell vehicles are also obvious. Zhong Shi said that the domestic hydrogen production is currently faced with major problems, the use of electrolysis method is very energy-intensive; using chemical methods, there are not so many domestic chemical plants. In addition, the construction cost of hydrogen refueling stations is many times higher than that of charging stations for electric vehicles, and the lack of supporting facilities will become a bottleneck for the development of domestic fuel cell vehicles.
