The oil level of the diesel generator set is not as high as possible

Many users think that the higher the oil level of the oil sump of the diesel generator set is, the better. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. When the oil level is too high, the oil easily enters the combustion chamber, causing the exhaust pipe to inject oil and emit blue smoke. This not only wastes the oil, increases the consumption, but also causes the incomplete combustion of the oil, resulting in a large amount of carbon deposition, and intensifying the piston and cylinder liner and valve. With the valve seat wear, even cause the piston ring to seize, seriously affecting the normal operation of the diesel engine.

At the same time, the oil level in the oil sump of the diesel generator set should not be too low. If the oil level is too low, it will cause poor lubrication and the oil temperature will be too high, leading to early wear of the mating parts. Especially in the case of downhill, over-cut, or sudden braking, the oil filter may be exposed on the oil surface, and the air may be sucked into the oil pump and cannot be supplied with oil, resulting in serious accidents such as “holding the shaft” and “burning the tiles”.

The oil level of the oil must not be lower than the minimum oil level A, and it must not exceed the highest oil level B, otherwise you will need to release or add oil.
