On June 4, Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. held a docking ceremony for a 50,000-ton bulk carrier built by Shenzhen Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd.; on June 6, GSI International built 50,500 tons of refined oil for Italian OMC Shipping Company. The last ship in the chemical tanker series was delivered; on June 10, GSI was named for the 23,000-ton 1400-seat/1200-meter passenger line "Changshan Island" built by China Shipping Group. The delivery of the ship marks the completion of the construction of the series.
It is understood that Shenzhen Ocean Shipping Company has ordered a total of four 50,000-ton bulk carriers in GSI, and all of them have already started. This series of ships is a large-scale coal transport ship specially designed for domestic coastal coal transportation. It has the characteristics of shallow draft, large cargo load, fast speed and low energy consumption. It is the most advanced, environmentally friendly and energy-saving new ship type in China.
