1. The choice of turbine type, capacity and number of units should be determined according to the layout of the hub, the scope of the working head of the power station, the mode of operation, the efficiency of the power station, the investment in engineering and the transportation conditions.
2. According to the selected rated head, sediment, water quality and runner characteristics, determine the main target parameters such as runner type, diameter, speed, output, efficiency and suction height. It is also possible to directly use the parameters recommended by the manufacturer.
3. The runaway speed of the propeller turbine shall be taken as the maximum value of the runaway transfer under the joint condition of the turbine vane and the runner blade in the operating head range. The runaway speed of other turbines shall be determined according to the maximum clean head of the power station and the maximum possible opening of the turbine guide vanes.
4. The turbine volute and draft tube can be of the type and size recommended by the manufacturer. The angle between the bottom plate of the tailpipe diffuser section and the horizontal plane should be 0°~12°.
The metal lining should be provided in the tail pipe of the vertical shaft turbine, and the metal lining can also be set in the pipe part.
5. The generator type should be selected according to the current series. The selection of generator parameters should meet the requirements of power system and power station operating conditions, and be determined by technical and economic comparison.
