At present, LED enterprises in Shanxi Province have grown from 8 households in 2010 to 23 households in 2013. The number of employees has increased from less than 100 to nearly 5,000. The products involve all aspects of the industrial chain and have initially covered the epitaxial wafers of substrate materials. All aspects of packaging applications have laid a good foundation for industrial development. According to reports, the investment main body of LED enterprises in Shanxi Province is mainly from the coal coke industry, with large investment and fast growth. In 2010-2012, the investment scale of LED industry in Shanxi Province reached 3.5 billion yuan, 5.8 billion yuan and 7.2 billion yuan respectively, with an average annual growth rate of 43%. More than ten major projects such as Shanxi Coslight, Le Bailite and Changzhi Hi-Tech have been put into operation. . At present, Shanxi Province has an annual production capacity of 4.5 billion chips, 4.26 million sets of lamps, 30,000 square meters of display screen, 1 million power supplies and 15,000 sets of street lamps. However, due to the late start and lack of experience, Shanxi LED industry is small in scale, insufficient in supporting, and the market competitiveness is still relatively poor. The relevant person in charge of the Shanxi Provincial Economic and Information Committee said that the LED enterprises in Shanxi still lack core talents and technology, and the talent team has not yet been established. The core technology of the high-end epitaxial chip production process is subject to people, and the product types are single, and the homogenization phenomenon is more serious.
