The project starts from the Lhasa at the end of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, runs through Lhasa, Henan, and passes through the Delong Deqing, Qushui, and Shunya-Luzang Tibetan Rivers. It passes through a canyon area of ​​nearly 90 kilometers in length. It reaches Nishigashi from Nimmu and Rinbo and is 253 kilometers long. The whole line has 13 stations, and the design standard grade is National Grade I railway. The whole line is single-line, and the electrification conditions are reserved. The train operating speed is not less than 120 kilometers per hour and the annual cargo volume can reach more than 8.3 million tons. The Laiyashi Railway started construction in 2011 and the construction period is 4 years.
