The HYDAC pressure sensor is based on the principle of ultrasonic transmission and reception, measuring the depth of non-contact measurement of liquid. If the speed of the ultrasonic wave is known, the distance from the ultrasonic probe to the liquid surface can be calculated by calculating the time from the transmission of the ultrasonic wave to the reception time. The working principle of this HYDAC pressure sensor is that when the diaphragm senses the measured pressure, it bends, so that the air gap between the prism and the light absorbing layer changes, causing partial destruction of the total internal reflection at the prism interface, resulting in a part The light exits the upper interface of the prism, and the absorption layer is absorbed and absorbed, so that the intensity of the reflected light in the fiber will change. The absorption of light intensity can be detected by a bridge light receiver.
Since the diaphragm bends inward under the influence of pressure, the air gap between the optical fiber and the diaphragm is reduced, so the illumination area of ​​the transmitting fiber on the inner surface of the diaphragm is also reduced, but the intensity of light reflected by the receiving optical fiber is reduced. The output signal weakens. The size of the sensor output signal is only related to the distance between the fiber optic patch and the shape of the diaphragm.
The response frequency of the HYDAC pressure sensor is quite high. For example, a stainless steel diaphragm with a diameter of 2mm and a thickness of 0.65mm can have a natural frequency of 138kHz. Therefore, it is also an ideal sensor in dynamic pressure measurement.
HYDAC pressure sensors have a wide range of applications in the industry. Compared with other pressure sensors, it has advantages of no electromagnetic interference, fast response, small size, light weight, good heat resistance, etc. Since there is no conductive element, it is particularly suitable for use in explosion-proof applications.
