Nanjing Iveco's leap forward to the European market was first listed in Shanghai. Zhou Liang, general manager of Nanjing Iveco, said that he hoped that Leaping took advantage of European truck standards to meet the price of the Chinese market, occupying a place in the State III light truck market.
Oka has fully adopted IVECO's powertrain, which includes core components such as Sophie III diesel engines. As the first domestic light truck product led by the European Commercial Vehicle Company, Oka has reached the “Europe Truck Standard†in all aspects of design, manufacturing, and testing.
Yuejin Europe Card launched a total of 11 models in three series. Among them, the Eucalyptus N series is priced at 79,800 yuan, which is equal to the price of the light trucks equipped with the domestically produced III engine. "The Iveco Sophie III engine is an internationally recognized top-ranking State III diesel engine product that ensures Oka's core competitive advantage," said Zhou Liang.
Xiao Guopu, vice president of SAIC Motor and general manager of the commercial vehicle division, once again emphasized the strategic significance of the commercial vehicle business to SAIC at the leap to the EU conference, and expressed on behalf of the shareholders that it attached great importance to the light vehicle business led by Nanjing Iveco. Xiao Guopu said that the leap forward to the EU card market marks an important breakthrough in the strategy of SAIC and IVECO to attack the commercial vehicle segment in China.
At the Beijing Auto Show in April of this year, Xiao Guopu once stated clearly that with the completion of the cooperation with the South, Nanjing Iveco has become a new starting point for strategic cooperation between SAIC and IVECO.
“Light trucks are the largest market share among commercial vehicle market segments, and Oka will become one of our main products for expanding the domestic commercial vehicle market. In the global market, we will also support Oka through the strong international sales network of our parent company, IVECO. The export has made Oka one of the main forces for IVECO to enter the global market,†said Zhou Liang.
