On March 28 and 29, the opening report of the National Social Science Foundation's major project "Shengjing City Archaeology and Qing Dynasty Historical Culture Research" was held in Shenyang. The project was co-sponsored by the Institute of Qing History Studies of Renmin University of China and the Shenyang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology. It was officially approved by the State in early November 2014. The chief expert Professor Liu Fengyun from the Summary of topics, aspects of academic value and significance of the topic, the overall framework of the study, research ideas and the main content, the focus of research and innovation, research and planning system on the subject were introduced. "Sheng capital Archeology and History and Culture of the Qing Dynasty" is divided into three sub-topics, namely: "Sheng Qing Dynasty capital: the capital of Manchuria to the cultural history of the country's provisional capital", "Sheng archaeological capital: between man and nature found in the social landscape "Interaction", "Sheng Jingcheng's Literature Finishing: Realizing the Applied Value of Philology in Research". The Shenyang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology will undertake the research work on the subproject of "Shengjing City Archeology". The project will be completed in five years and plans to complete the three academic monographs of “Shengjing City of the Qing Dynastyâ€, “Shengjing City Archeologyâ€, and “Shengjing City Literature and Research Collectionâ€.
After listening to the report of the project team, the participating experts gave a high evaluation of the subject's topic selection and academic value. They put forward suggestions on the research methods and ideas of the topic, and discussed the research contents and work plans of each sub-topic one by one. From the perspective of history and archaeological research, make recommendations. In addition, the experts reached a consensus to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in archeology and history, and strive to realize the combination of the results of the subject of archaeological field practice and theory of history, to interpret the deeper historical and cultural information inherent in the capital Sheng.
In recent years, the Shenyang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology has proposed the concept of “Shengjing City Archaeology†and put it into practice as the focus of its archeology and research work. The Institute of Qing History Studies of Renmin University of China, as a first-class research base of Qing Dynasty in China, also pays close attention to the historical research of Shengjing City. Sheng as the capital of the Qing Dynasty and the founding capital of only provisional capital city, from 1621 Nurhachu captured the city of Shenyang defender, Nurhachu experience and two generations of Taiji to transform it into the capital of Mukden (1636), 1907 "Mukden" title Disappeared before and after nearly 300 years, experienced the change of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the rise and fall of the Qing Dynasty. "Sheng capital Archeology and History and Culture of the Qing Dynasty," the national social science major task is bound to hold capital archaeological study of the Qing Dynasty and the history and culture to a new peak.
