This year's #hashtags feature announced at Google I/O 2013 on Google+, is now further integrated with Google Search, allowing users to quickly find topics related to popular topics of interest. However, this update is currently only used for English in North America, and is not yet available in other languages.
Zaheed Sabur, an engineer at Google Search, revealed that Google+ #hashtags is currently integrated with the Google Search service. In the future, users only need to search #Hashtags-related content through Google Search, such as "#AmericasCup" or "#WaterfallWednesday." "Following the topic of concern, you can directly discuss the content in Google+ through search.
For privacy protection, Google Search can only find content that is publicly shared # hashtags. As for reading # hashtags related content, it must still connect back to the Google+ service, so if the personal sharing message is set to private, or only to specific objects Reading, basically, will not be seen by other people.
At present, this update only focuses on North America, where the English interface is mainly used. For other languages, this feature is not updated temporarily.
