Driven by the powerful base of Wanzhou, in 2010, Chang’an exceeded 45,000 vehicles for production and sales, and exported 3,000 vehicles. It achieved the goal of recreating a Chang’an span across the country in two years.
Shi Daping said that Wanzhou had made significant contributions to the country and the nation. Today, Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government promulgated the “Decision†to speed up the construction of Wanzhou into the second largest city in Chongqing. Moreover, the industrial park has been successfully upgraded to a state-level economic and technological development zone. The follow-up work plan for the Three Gorges Project has been fully implemented, combined with human resources and transportation. The advantages are outstanding. Wanzhou can be described as a combination of policies, opportunities and agglomerations. The automotive industry is one of the 10 billion industrial clusters that Wanzhou plans to build. We hope that all suppliers will seize the opportunity to invest in Wanzhou to develop and win-win development.
Han Ming, general manager of Chongqing Chang'an Overpass Vehicle Co., Ltd., said that 2010 was a year in which Changan strove to create success with its suppliers. Wanzhou, as the core city of Gaoxia Pinghu, has a unique geographical, policy, and transportation advantages, and it is becoming a hot spot for people of insight. Enterprises are bigger and stronger, and the formation of industrial clusters is the key. According to the development plan, in 2011, Changan's leapfrog sales revenue will double on the basis of 2010, exceed 2 billion yuan, and realize the entire phase of the 100,000-unit commercial vehicle (Wanzhou) manufacturing base in the first phase; in 2012, the Wanzhou base will produce and sell 6.5 With a million vehicles, sales revenue doubled to reach 4 billion yuan. By the end of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, the Chang'an leap will form an automobile industry cluster with an annual output of 200,000 units and an output value of 12 billion yuan, of which Wanzhou base will be 150,000, becoming the largest manufacturing base for light trucks and small trucks in the southwest.
