There are three common networking modes for wireless bridges, including point-to-point transmission mode, point-to-multipoint transmission mode, and relay transmission mode. What everyone does not know is that there are three methods in the relay transmission mode.
In the wireless monitoring system, the requirements of the wireless bridge for the environment must be clear and unobstructed. When there is a blockage, the first is to go through the two ends to avoid the shelter. If it cannot be carried out in an elevated manner, it can only be transmitted by adding relays. Here are some ways to describe the next relay transmission mode.
There are also three modes available in the relay mode: single mode single wireless bridge relay, single mode dual wireless bridge relay, dual mode/multimode single wireless bridge relay.
1, single-mode single wireless bridge relay transmission mode
The so-called single-mode single-radio bridge relay is to use a single-mode wireless bridge as a relay point, and then split through the power divider to two antennas, one antenna connects to the wireless bridge of the monitoring point, and the other The antenna is connected to the wireless bridge of the monitoring center.
Although this is the most cost-effective mode, the use of power splitters will reduce bandwidth by more than half, so in some large-scale projects or projects with high bandwidth requirements, this relay mode is not generally used.
2, single-mode dual wireless bridge relay
This is the use of two single-mode wireless bridges as relay points, using switches to connect the two wireless bridges, one of which is a wireless bridge at the monitoring point, used as a receiving signal, and the other is directed at the monitoring center. Wireless bridge, used as a transmission signal.
This mode is more common, although the use of the relay will lose bandwidth, but the loss of bandwidth will not be much. Most of these methods are used in projects that require longer transmission distances, avoid obstacles, and require higher transmission bandwidth. The disadvantage is that there are many equipments to be used and the cost is high.
3, dual mode/multimode single wireless bridge relay
Using a dual-mode or multi-mode wireless bridge as a relay point, two or more antennas are used to align the wireless bridges in each direction monitoring point as the receiving end, and the antenna of the monitoring center wireless bridge is used as the transmitting node. end. With the advantages of dual-mode or multi-mode, the cost of multiple wireless bridges can be saved, and power splitters or switches do not need to be used, making installation easier.
This kind of relaying method is mostly used in monitoring engineering or component MESH networks with long transmission distances, high transmission bandwidth requirements, avoiding obstructions, and multiple relay points. The disadvantage is that the price of such devices is high. But the relative performance is stronger.
The above-mentioned single-mode or dual-mode refers to a wireless bridge supporting one or two kinds of signal transmission. Single-mode bridges support one mode of signal transmission; dual-mode bridges support two modes of signal transmission.
In terms of loss, the second and third are the best; from the price point, the first is the lowest cost. The second and third methods are the most used in the current project.
