From January to October, Xichai engine's overseas export sales exceeded 11700 units, an increase of 11% over the same period of last year, achieving a double volume and share growth, product structure. There is also a trend towards high-tech content development.
Why does Xichai's export sales show growth? What kind of power behind the increase?
Brand marketing breakthrough single machine export
The dazzling sales data not only benefited from the excellent performance of the high-end power quality of Xichai, but also benefited from the precise marketing strategy of Xichai's overseas marketing department. In 2013, Xichai fully implemented a new overseas service model and established six overseas offices in Chile, South Africa and other countries. This not only enabled overseas services to gradually meet the international standards, but also found a breakthrough in stand-alone exports and formed a stable New growth point. At present, the XC4 4DW93-84E3 engine matching light truck project exported to West Asia and the prototype delivery of the Xicai 4DW93-84E4 engine matching pickup project have been completed, and they are entering the sample vehicle deployment stage. At the same time, Xichai’s overseas offices have also increased the popularity of Xichai’s international brands through brand marketing, and the number of Xichai engines in countries such as Kazakhstan, Chile, South Africa, and Vietnam has continued to expand.
Jointly promote the matching exports
In 2013, the Overseas Market Department jointly promoted the export of complete vehicle companies to increase the share of product exports in major supporting manufacturers. In January this year alone, Xichai’s overseas markets successively took orders for 60 sets of Xichai CA6DL1-30 engines with FAW Qingqi CA4161 exported to the Indonesian market, and 100 sets of Xichai 4DW supercharged intercooled engines were exported through Hunan Tongxin spare parts to Vietnam. The engine products for 300 sets of power station units were exported to South America, Brazil and Russia respectively. In October, 100 sets of Xichai Aowei engines were used to support the export of Wuxi buses to Sudan. At present, the project in Changsha Futian Exports Algeria has completed the prototype supply and will form a batch supply.
In the Indonesian market, the J5 tractor unit of FAW Qingyang Automobile, which was equipped with the CA6DL1-30 in 2013, has become the best-selling model in the Indonesian market. Its newly-developed dump trucks, cargo carriers and cement mixers have all matched the Xicep. The engine, Xichai CA6DL1-28/30 engine has become Indonesia's agent of the main push and hot products.
Tuning structure to enhance matching share
In 2013, the overseas marketing department of Xichai Sales Co., Ltd. also adopted overseas marketing strategies such as key breakthroughs, point-to-face, strategic cooperation, and service follow-up. The market share continued to expand and the structure of export products became more rational. From January to October, the proportion of products matching the Xichai Hengwei engine series accounted for 34.2% of total exports, up 4.2% from 2012. In the major supporting manufacturers, the matching ratio of export of Xichai engine has increased steadily, which is an increase of 6 percentage points compared with that of last year. In particular, the export ratio of compatible products in Hunan Tongxin has reached 100% this year. Export products cover trucks, construction machinery, passenger cars, and power generation equipment.
The data shows that this year, the proportion of exports of Xichei engines equipped with passenger cars, dump trucks , and tractors has increased significantly.
