Audi A7 is expected to land in China by year's end

Last week, the reporter learned from Audi related persons that the Audi A1 will be officially imported this fall, and the introduction of the A7 Sportback is tentatively scheduled for mid-December, and its first introduction of displacement will be 3.0T.

As Audi's new product series, A7 is based on Audi's new medium-sized car platform. The new generation of Audi A6L, which will be made in China next year, will also come from this platform. This will be Audi's introduction of China's second sports coupe series following the A5 Sportback.

From the detailed information released in the latest environmental protection catalog, the A7 to be launched in China will be powered by a 3.0 TFSI engine with a maximum output of 220 kW and a peak torque of 440 Nm, matching the 7-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission. It is reported that 2.8T displacement will be introduced in the future.

Audi A1 will formally import around October. At present, some dealers have started to order A1 from manufacturers. It is reported that the initial introduction of A1 will be the 1.4T model, which is expected to be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Audi sources said that A1’s competitors will point to mid- and high-end models such as the MINI Cooper and MINI Coopers, instead of the MINI's 1.4-liter basic model, so A1’s pricing will not be too low.
