CNC cutting machine repair and maintenance

The work place and working environment of the CNC cutting machine are relatively poor and the metal dust is relatively large. Therefore, the machine must be thoroughly cleaned and maintained. The person responsible should be responsible for the lubrication, repair and maintenance of the equipment!

I. Safe operation:

1. CNC cutting machine is a kind of precision equipment, so the operation of the cutting machine must be done in three stages (definite, fixed, fixed)

2. The operator must be professionally trained and skilled, and non-professionals should not move.

3. Before operation, it must be confirmed that there is no external interference. After everything is normal, the cut plate is hung on the cutting platform, and the plate can't exceed the cutting range. (Caution: Be careful when lifting).

II. Routine maintenance and care:

1. The dirt on the machine tool and guide rails must be cleaned every working day to keep the bed clean. When the work is off, turn off the air supply and power supply, and empty the air in the machine belt.

2. If you leave the machine for a long time, turn off the power to prevent non-professional operation.

3. Observe whether there are any lubricants on the horizontal and vertical rails of the machine and the surface of the rack.

Three. Weekly maintenance and care:

1. Clean the machine thoroughly every week, clean the horizontal and vertical guide rails, drive gear racks, and add lube oil.
2. Check whether the horizontal and vertical wiper works normally. If not, replace it in time.
3. Check that all torches are loose and clean the litter of the gun to keep the ignition normal.
4. If there is an automatic height-adjusting device, check whether it is sensitive and whether to replace the probe.

four. Monthly and Quarterly Maintenance:

1. Check the total air intake for garbage, and check whether the valves and pressure gauges are working properly.
2. Inspect all tracheal joints for looseness and all tubes with no damage. Tighten or replace as necessary.
3. Check for looseness of all drive sections and check gear meshing with gear racks. Make adjustments if necessary.
4. Loosen the tightening device and push the pulley by hand. Whether it is free or not, if any abnormal conditions are adjusted or replaced in time.
5. Check for loosening of the clamping blocks, strips and guide pulleys, and tightness of the strip. Adjust if necessary.
6. Check the strong cabinet and operating platform, if the fastening screws are loose, use a vacuum cleaner or hair dryer to clean the cabinet dust. Check if the connector is loose (see the electrical specification for details)
7. Check the performance of all buttons and selector switches, replace the damaged ones, and finally draw a comprehensive inspection pattern to check the accuracy of the machine.

Plasma torch maintenance

1. Assemble the torch correctly

Correctly and carefully install the torch and ensure that all parts are well-fitted to ensure that gas and cooling air flow. Installation Place all parts on a clean flannel to prevent dirt from sticking to the parts. Add proper lubricant to the O-ring. The O-ring is lightened and cannot be added.

2. Consumables must be replaced before they are completely damaged

Consumables should not be replaced after they have been completely damaged, because severely worn electrodes, nozzles, and swirl rings will create uncontrolled plasma arcs that can easily cause serious damage to the torch. Therefore, when the cutting quality is found to be deteriorating for the first time, the consumables should be checked in time.

3. Clean torch connection thread

When replacing consumables or routine maintenance inspections, make sure that the torch's internal and external threads are clean and, if necessary, clean or repair the connection threads.

4. Cleaning electrode and nozzle contact surface

In many torches, the contact surface between the nozzle and the electrode is a live contact surface. If these contact surfaces have dirt, the torch will not work properly and should be cleaned with a hydrogen peroxide cleaning agent.

5. Check gas and cooling gas daily

Check the flow and pressure of the gas and cooling air flow daily. If insufficient flow or leakage is found, stop the line immediately.

6. Avoid cutting torch damage

In order to avoid damage to the torch, it should be programmed correctly to avoid overtravel of the system. Installation of the anti-collision device can effectively avoid damage to the torch during a collision.

7. The most common cause of torch damage

(1) Torch collision.
(2) Destructive plasma arcs due to damage to consumables.
(3) Destructive plasma arc caused by dirt.
(4) Destructive plasma arc caused by loose parts.

8. Precautions

(1) Do not apply grease to the torch.
(2) Do not overuse the O-ring lubricant.
(3) Do not spray splash chemicals while the protective sleeve is still on the torch.
(4) Do not use a manual torch as a hoe.

How to extend the life of consumables

1. Ensure the correct pressure and flow of plasma

The correct plasma pressure and flow are very important for the life of the consumables. If the pressure is too high, the life of the electrode will be greatly reduced; air pressure is too low, the life of the nozzle will be affected.
2. Use a reasonable cutting distance

According to the requirements of the instruction manual, a reasonable cutting distance is adopted, and the cutting distance is the distance between the cutting nozzle and the surface of the workpiece. When perforating, the normal cutting distance of 2 times or the maximum height that can be transmitted by the plasma arc is adopted as far as possible.

3. Perforation thickness should be within the allowable range of the machine system

Cutting machine can not be perforated over the working thickness of the steel plate, the usual perforation thickness is 1/2 of the normal cutting thickness

4. Do not overload the nozzle

Overloading the nozzle (ie, exceeding the operating current of the nozzle) will cause the nozzle to quickly deteriorate. The current intensity should be 95% of the operating current of the nozzle. For example, the current intensity of a 100A nozzle should be set to 95A.

5. Keep plasma gas dry and clean

The plasma system needs dry and clean plasma gas to work properly. Contaminated gas is usually a problem with the gas compression system. It will shorten the service life of the consumables and cause abnormal damage. The method for testing the gas quality is to set the torch in the test state, put a mirror under it and consume the gas in the torch. If moisture and mist appear on the mirror, you need to find out the reason and correct it.

6. Cutting should start from the edge

Cut as much as possible from the edge instead of piercing the cut. Using the edge as a starting point will prolong the life of the consumable. The correct method is to align the nozzle directly at the edge of the workpiece and then start the plasma arc.

7. Avoid extended plasma arc extension

If the plasma arc can only reach the surface of the workpiece when it is extended and extended, the plasma arc will produce such stretching and expansion at the beginning and the end of the cutting, which will cause abnormal damage to the nozzle. This problem can be avoided if the right edge start technique is used and the appropriate “off-of-arc” signal time is chosen.

8. Reduce unnecessary arcing (or arcing) time

At the start of arcing, the consumption of nozzles and electrodes is very fast. Before starting, the torch should be placed within the walking distance of the cutting metal.

9. Apply splash-proof chemical paint on protective shell

Splash-proof chemical coatings help to reduce slag deposits on the protective shell. However, be sure to remove the protective shell from the torch before applying paint.

10. Remove slag from the protective shell

The slag on the torch shield should always be removed, otherwise the slag will cause a destructive heavy plasma arc.

11. Remove gas after replacing consumables

After replacing the consumable or after a long period of shutdown, the gas should be removed (2-3 minutes is appropriate) to ensure that water and mist are removed from the torch.

12. Try to keep the torch and consumables clean

Any dirt on the torch and consumables can greatly affect the function of the plasma system. When replacing the consumables, place them on a clean flannel. Always check the connection ribs of the torch and clean the electrode contact surfaces and nozzles with hydrogen peroxide-based cleaner.

13. Remove oxides from air or oxygen nozzles

When air or oxygen plasma is used, oxides are deposited in the nozzle. This oxide can affect airflow and reduce the life of consumables. Wipe the inside of the nozzle with a clean fleece to eliminate oxides.

14. Using softened water to inject the cutting torch

Hard water can cause metal impurities to settle on the nozzle ring, which will affect airflow flow, reduce torch quality, and shorten the life of consumable parts.

15. Check airflow and cooling flow daily

One of the most common causes of torch damage is the lack of cooling flow, which requires frequent checks of torch flow and air pressure (if air-cooled) or coolant (if water-cooled). If airflow is found to be insufficient or leaking, shut down immediately. malfunction.
