The accelerator device is China's first advanced medical equipment with independent intellectual property rights and can be used for proton therapy of malignant tumors. The successful development of superconducting magnets will provide an important technical guarantee for the ultimate development of accelerators.
The "Superconducting Magnet" component developed this time is the core component of the "Cyclocycl accelerator key technology and engineering research" of the China Nuclear "Longteng 2020" scientific and technological innovation project. Compared with an ordinary-energy cyclotron with the same energy, the weight of the main magnet can be reduced by about three-fifths, power consumption can be reduced by three quarters, and the related construction and operating costs of the accelerator can be greatly reduced, and the reliability of the accelerator operation can be improved.
During the inspection and acceptance, the relevant experts involved in the inspection and inspection reviewed and confirmed the test data in accordance with the relevant requirements of the management system. The site witnessed the cooling of the superconducting system to liquid helium temperature, and the magnet successfully reached the superconducting state, and the magnetic field strength reached the theoretical design value.
