Johnson Controls donates $1 million to support post-disaster work in Japan

The US auto parts supplier Johnson Controls has announced that the company will donate 1 million U.S. dollars (100 million yen) to the Japan Red Cross Society through the American Red Cross Society to support the ongoing disaster relief work in Japan.

Steve Roell, President and CEO of Johnson Controls, said: “We have a responsibility to support disaster relief efforts and have a responsibility to help our customers and others in need.”

Johnson Controls stated that the company will also launch 142,000 employees worldwide to fundraise activities to provide Japan with additional financial assistance.

It is reported that Johnson Controls has approximately 2,000 employees in Japan, and their businesses include automotive, electric power, and building energy conservation.
