Quantum computer revolutionary breakthrough! Quantum gate superposition state for the first time

Austrian physicists succeeded in building a new quantum computer model by stacking two logic gates in the lab, completing quantum computing tasks more efficiently than standard quantum computers. The new study is expected to establish a theoretical basis for a new quantum computing and design a quantum computer with faster computational speed.

Although there are many unresolved mysteries in quantum mechanics, many quantum phenomena have been validated and applied in many fields: from ultra-secure communications to finding loopholes in existing communications, from simulating complex quantum systems to solving large-scale equations Find answers, and more. Of these applications, the most exciting technology comes as quantum computers.

Quantum logic gate is the basic unit of quantum computer, and it is very difficult to construct enough quantum gate to realize quantum computation. In traditional quantum computation, quantum logic gates are arranged in a specific order, that is, one logic gate can only precede the other logic gate.

New research has resulted in the stacking of quantum logic gates that can interact with multiple sequences simultaneously, greatly reducing the number of quantum logic gates in some quantum computing.

Phillip Watt, led by the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the University of Vienna physicist team designed an experiment, the two logic gates applied to the single-photon circuit and found that the two logic gates do not follow you in a single sequence after the first quantum But at the same time in two sequences, namely, logic gate A precedes logic gate B and logic gate B functions in front of logic gate A by two logic sequences.

Adding more logic gates will result in more logical sequence superpositions at the same time, faster and more efficient than previous quantum calculations.

This is the first time scientists have implemented the quantum door superposition in the lab and also proved a new and more efficient way of quantum computation.

This latest study, to be published in the journal Nature, opens the door to creating a completely new quantum computer in the future.

The study found that not only quantum states can be superimposed, quantum gates can also be superimposed. Watt at the University of Vienna succeeded in the superposition of two quantum gates A and B, which resulted in a disorderly quantum computer that was more efficient than a single-sequence quantum computer.
